Karen Dawaf Harron and Barry Sheehan promoted to Managing Directors
Arrowpoint Advisory is delighted to announce that Karen Dawaf Harron and Barry Sheehan have become Managing Directors in the firm’s Healthcare and Business Services sector teams respectively.
Karen has been with Arrowpoint Advisory for over eight years and has played an important role in developing the firm’s Healthcare sector practice. Karen’s recent transactions include the sale of a significant interest in Veramed, the leading specialist biostatistics and programming Contract Research Organisation serving pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the UK, Europe and US to private equity investor Livingbridge, and the sale of Ascenti Health, a technology-led disruptor in the UK physiotherapy and mental wellbeing markets, to bd-capital partners.
Patrick Groarke, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory, commented: “Karen has been a tremendous colleague and asset to the business since she joined us and has been instrumental in building a highly-accomplished Healthcare sector team by leveraging and embedding Rothschild & Co’s unique expertise and coverage of the sector - as Europe’s No.1 adviser - across our own team.”
Karen Dawaf Harron, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory, added: “Arrowpoint Advisory has proven a wonderful platform from which to build a mid-market focused Healthcare sector practice. We are unique in combining the depth of knowledge, insight and breadth of sector coverage of a world-class investment bank with the energy, commitment and hands-on support that comes with being a mid-market M&A specialist.”
Barry joined Arrowpoint Advisory in 2014 and in that time has had great success building the firm’s presence in Supply Chain Services & Technology. Barry recently advised Lightfoot, the UK’s leading provider of in-cab driver coaching and engagement technology, on its investment from Volpi Capital and the sale of SMH Fleet Solutions, one of the UK’s largest vehicle preparation, logistics and storage businesses, to Cazoo, the online car retailer.
Barry Sheehan, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory, said: “Consumers and brands are increasingly recognising the need for efficiency and transparency throughout their entire supply chain – which is in turn fueling rapid digitisation and M&A activity across the sector. It has been a privilege to work with such a talented group of M&A professionals as we have at Arrowpoint Advisory and Rothschild & Co. I’m proud that we have become one of the leading advisers in this increasingly integrated space and believe we are only at the start of what we can achieve in the coming years.”
Jeremy Furniss, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory, concluded: “Barry’s energy, commitment and deep sector knowledge is a great example of how Arrowpoint Advisory has backed talented bankers to become respected, seasoned sector experts by supporting them with excellent young colleagues, a total cultural focus on our clients, and the unique global platform that Rothschild & Co provides us.”
