Screen Cinemas has been acquired by Everyman Group

Family owned and operated Screen Cinemas, one of the UK's leading independent cinema chains, has been sold to the Everyman Media Group, owner of the Everyman Cinema Club. The Arrowpoint Advisory's Consumer, Retail and Leisure sector team advised the shareholders of Screen Cinemas, on the sale including owner and shareholder Romaine Hart OBE.

Screen Cinemas a "London institution", operates seven cinemas across the Capitol and the South East. Given its iconic status, Screen attracted strong interest from other independent cinema operators, larger trade players, and a number of international investors. Everyman prevailed in a highly competitive sale process.

Everyman currently operates one luxury cinema in Hampstead with further sites in the pipeline, including a new venue in Hammersmith. Its board and major shareholders have an enviable retail and leisure pedigree. Following the transaction, they will comprise Lloyd Dorfman, founder of Travelex; Adam and Sam Kaye founders of the ASK and Zizzi restaurant chains; The Lewis Trust Group
