Capital Injection Ceramics has been acquired by Siemens Energy
Rothschild & Co's UK mid-market team, Arrowpoint Advisory, has advised Capital Injection Ceramics Limited (CIC), a leading manufacturer of sacrificial ceramic cores to the turbine manufacturing industry, on its sale to Siemens Energy (“SE”), one of the world's leading energy technology companies.
Originally part of the Capital Refractories Limited group, since its inception in 2007, CIC has evolved into a specialist manufacturer of advanced and complex ceramic cores for the turbine manufacturing industry. Headquartered in Corby, England, the company combines precision engineering with innovative materials science to deliver exceptional quality and reliability to a client base that includes some of the world’s largest and most recognisable OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
The transaction helps fulfil Siemens Energy's strategic objective to secure its supply of ceramic cores amidst ongoing global supply chain challenges and supports future growth through a long-term partnership with CIC.
James Newsome, Group Managing Director of Capital Refractories said: “Arrowpoint Advisory provided outstanding support on the sale of our subsidiary to a multinational buyer. They quickly developed a strong understanding of our highly specialised industry sector and our specific business dynamics and applied this effectively throughout the transaction. Their commercial acumen, rigorous process management and commitment were instrumental in delivering an excellent result. We cannot recommend them highly enough.”
Tom Smith, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory commented: “We are very pleased to have helped CIC find a great new home and owner which will continue to support its current strong growth trajectory and innovation-led approach. CIC and Capital Refractories are great examples of highly specialised and differentiated UK engineering businesses that we love to work with.”
