Arrowpoint Advisory has advised the board and shareholders of Metapraxis on the sale of a minority stake in the company to AVANT Corporation, a Japan-based technology business, listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, focused on providing business applications for accounting, planning and management.
Metapraxis is a financial analytics software provider, operating the empower™ platform, which aggregates clients’ disparate sources of financial and non-financial performance data, analyses them, transforms them, and combines them with third-party data, providing users across client organisations with highly-valuable insight into the status quo and, critically, future performance.
AVANT will take a significant minority stake in Metapraxis, becoming the second largest shareholder in the business, and will help develop and market the Japanese version of empower™.
Simon Bittlestone, Chief Executive Officer of Metapraxis, said: “Daniel, Ian and Jo’s guidance, insight and knowledge was invaluable in helping us shape the strategy for the business and then in creating the optimal process to ensure we brought on board a partner who can help accelerate Metapraxis’ growth at such a pivotal time for the business and finance functions globally.”
Ian Guilfoyle, Director, Arrowpoint Advisory, added: “Simon and the team at Metapraxis have created a powerful platform. Prior to Covid, there was a pressing need for finance functions to embrace digital transformation which has now been further amplified. The combination of Metapraxis and AVANT will enable a full-service offering aimed at assisting finance functions on this journey.”
