Global Acquirer Trends: India rivals China for Asian M&A crown

Arrowpoint Advisory's Global Acquirer Trends report revealed booming M&A activity in India, as the nation competes with China for the Asian M&A crown. The research showed that in the first half of this year, India completed 109 M&A deals, a total only two fewer than China.

Commenting on these findings, Jeremy Furniss, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory, believes that despite the regulatory challenges that still remain, India is a rising star for international buyers. As well, the expected slowdown occurring in China is likely to benefit Indian businesses looking to sell.
