Arrowpoint Advisory has advised the CEO Anthony Fletcher and the Management Team of snack brand graze on the company's sale to Unilever.
Founded in 2008, graze's purpose is to put excitement into healthy snacking, providing a range of snacking nuts, seeds, trail mixes and snack bars, with no artificial ingredients. Having started with a snack box delivery service, graze is now a multichannel brand, with products available via retail stores, ecommerce and direct to consumer.
With a broad portfolio of healthy snack products, graze accelerates Unilever's presence in the fast-growing healthy snacking and out of home markets.
This is a landmark deal in the graze journey and its tie up with Unilever will certainly assist with its growth plans.
Arrowpoint Advisory's Management Advisory team, led by Simon Cope-Thompson and Jamie Hutton, provided advice to graze's management team and advised on their new arrangements with Unilever following the acquisition.
Simon Cope-Thompson, Managing Director at Arrowpoint Advisory said: “We are delighted to have advised Anthony and the team on this deal, it's a key strategic step for graze. Anthony and the team have found an excellent partner to assist them with their growth plans. Arrowpoint Advisory's management advisory and Consumer teams regularly advise on high-profile deals in the broader consumer sector, and this deal shows that we continue to be seen as one of the ‘go to’ firms for management teams in the space.”
Anthony Fletcher, CEO at graze, said: “Simon and Jamie from Arrowpoint Advisory were instrumental in supporting us on all of the management advisory aspects of this deal which is transformational for graze as we look to grow and expand. Arrowpoint Advisory's reputation and expertise in management advisory led our decision to select them as advisers to represent myself and the team for this sale. The great result we have achieved supports that decision.”
