Higgs LLP has secured investment from August Equity

Arrowpoint Advisory’s Business Services sector team has advised award-winning full-service law firm, Higgs LLP on its investment from private equity house, August Equity.

Headquartered in the Black Country and with more than 250 employees, Higgs is a leading regional law firm with a legacy stretching back 150 years.

Today the firm is led by Managing Partner Nick Taylor and provides holistic legal services to thousands of business and private clients. The quality of legal advice, commitment both to excellence and building long-term relationships has forged Higgs’ outstanding reputation in the market, highlighted by its 4.9 rating on Review Solicitors.

August’s backing of the Higgs team will provide capital to focus both on developing its existing people and to continue the recruitment of top-quality talent. Higgs will also pursue M&A opportunities which expand both the firm’s regional and national presence and breadth of service lines. To date, Higgs has completed two small acquisitions (Lewis Onions in 2024 and M.R. Timms in 2025), both of which have further strengthened its position in the regional market.
