We Are Discounts, the UK's largest healthcare member discount programme, has been the subject of a management buy-out
Arrowpoint Advisory's TMT sector team has advised We Are Discounts on its management buy-out led by Chief Executive Andy Miln and Non-Executive Chairman Richard Bandell.
We Are Discounts (WAD) provides discounts from major brand partners to individuals who are employed or engaged in socially beneficial activities, actively rewarding people for their significant efforts and their meaningful contribution to society, including members of the health service, care professionals, charity workers and teachers. WAD helps people who help others, and for nearly two decades has provided its members with exceptional discounts on a wide range of services and products to help them meet the cost of living. The buy-out allows it to deliver further benefits to its members and brand partners, as it continues to grow and flourish. Andy Miln has been CEO of WAD since 2015 and will continue to manage the business.
Richard Bandell joined in 2017 as a Non-Executive, after a 30-year career in database marketing, and customer and employee engagement, most recently as CEO of the Grass Roots Group. Miln commented: “Richard and I are extremely excited to be taking WAD into this next stage of our growth as we continue to increase the number of members we can support through our expansion of closed member groups and continuously to improve the value of our services to our members and partners.
